India become the planet’s biggest vaccine maker will support the world, Modi tells UN

Instead of talking about India’s current scenario Modi address the UN about the delivery of vaccine on Saturday.

In his speech at the virtual UN General Assembly, Modi didn't directly mention global climate change or the continued India-China border dispute following a clash in June during which 20 Indian soldiers were killed.

India, because the largest vaccine producer within the world will use its resources "for all of humanity" within the battle against the coronavirus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told the United Nations on Saturday.

Modi said, India’s vaccine production and delivery capacity will help humanity to fight the crises also India is going to help all the countries in enhancing their cold chain and storing capacity for the transport of the vaccines.

On Friday, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison insisted in his UN speech that any nation that develops a Covid-19 vaccine will universally share it.

Modi also avoided mentioning Pakistan directly, despite Prime Minister Imran Khan using his UN speech to criticize India for the occupation of Kashmir and therefore the Hindu nationalist ideology of the New Delhi government.

But Modi reiterated India's appeals to reform the UN and for the second-most populous country within the world to possess more influence within the world body.

Modi asked the UN about its effective response against coronavirus whereas the world is dealing with this pandemic for the past eight to nine months.

India, alongside Norway, Ireland, and Mexico, will become a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for two years starting January 1, 2021.
